All show conditions will apply to each futurity when applicable. The futurity will adhere to NRHA rules with the following additions:
- Eligibility for the futurity will be limited to foals of 2023. This is an NRHA category 2 approved event.
- Horses may be shown two-handed in an NRHA legal snaffle or hackamore or one-handed in any NRHA legal bit at the rider’s discretion.
- The Open divisions of the futurity will be run separately from the Non Pro divisions of the futurity. Scores from the Non Pro Futurity cannot be used in the Open Futurity.
- In order to enter any division below Level 4 in the open futurity, you must enter the next step up, i.e. to enter
Level 2, you must enter Level 4, in order to enter Level 1, you must enter Level 2, etc. Cross entries (Non Pro entering the Open) must run in each respective session, Open on Wednesday and Non Pro on Thursday. - In all Open divisions, the top 25% of entries but not less than 30 head will return for the finals based on first go scores. This is a clean slate finals.
- The Open Draw Party for Open finalists, presented by Mr. Farenheit, will be held Thursday afternoon. Time will be announced/posted.
- Open prizes for all divisions of each futurity will be awarded following the Open finals and scores have been verified. Non Pro prizes will be awarded following the Open class on Thursday, anticipated to be during the lunch break.
- Paybacks will be awarded 40% on the first go and 60% on the finals in the Open. RMRHA will retain 50% of entry fees.
- Entries are due June 20, 2026. Late entries will be accepted with a $150 per horse late charge until 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 8.
- The draw will be posted by 6:00 PM Tuesday July 7 for both futurities.
- For concurrent classes, only one judge’s fee is required per run. The highest judges’ fee in the set of concurrent classes will apply.
- Refunds: If scratched prior to 1:00 PM July 7, 2026 a refund will be granted for all entry fees minus the office fee. No refunds for Futurity entries after July 7.
Stallion Stakes Futurity Conditions

Non Pro Level 4
All show conditions shall apply to the Stallion Stakes when applicable. The Stallion Stakes will adhere to NRHA and RMRHA Futurity rules with the following changes:
- This is a NRHA category 6 approved event. RMRHA will retain 50% of entry fees
- In the Open division, the top 25% of entries will return to the finals based on first-go scores. A minimum of 30 entries will return to a clean slate finals in the Open Division. The Non Pro is a one-go.
- RMRHA will collect a $25.00 fee on each paid entry to the Open and Non Pro Stallion Stakes division of the Summer Slide Futurity. This entire fee will be paid to the stallion owner, or the nominator, if the stallion is a late nomination.
- Late Stallion Eligibility: Stallion owners wishing to ensure the get of their stallions are eligible for the current year’s Stallion Stakes Futurity, must nominate and pay no later than June 1, 2026. The deadline is firm, and no exceptions will be made. The cost is one and one half times the advertised stud fee the year the foal was conceived. - A Sire Nomination Award is presented to the nominator of the Stallion of the winning get. The Sire Award for 2026 is $8,141 and is split 50/50 between the nominators of the Open and Non Pro winning get.
The get of the following 2022 (foaled 2023) enrolled stallions are eligible to compete as three-year-olds in the 2026 Stallion Stakes Futurity:

- Open to four, five, six and seven year old horses. Payout Schedule B
- Horses may be shown one-handed in any legal NRHA bit or two-handed in snaffle or hackamore.
- Non Pro exhibitors may enter both the Open and Non Pro Derby.
- Derby is one go. RMRHA retains 50% of entry fees.
Summer Slide Maturity
Open Level 4 – $2,000.00 Added

Youth Non Pro – $1,000.00 Added
- Open to horses eight and over. Payout Schedule B
- Horses to be shown one handed in any legal NRHA bit.
